On Saturday 1 July, Menorca hosted one of the most anticipated weddings of the year. After six years together, Sergio Llull, Real Madrid basketball player, and Almudena Cánovas said "I do" at the Santa María de Mahón church, in the historic centre of the Menorcan capital. The wedding drew huge interest from locals, both because it was the groom's hometown and because of the many figures from the world of sport who joined the couple on their big day. Players including Pau and Marc Gasol, Felipe Reyes, Ricky Rubio, Juan Carlos Navarro and Luka Dončić, among others, were all in attendance. After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests moved to the Fortaleza de la Mola, at the entrance to the Port of Mahón, to celebrate.
When we found out that Esfering was the wedding photocall chosen by Sergio Llull and Almudena Cánovas, we were thrilled. We still had fresh memories of Rudy Fernández and Helen Lindes' wedding; that's where we first met Almu and Sergi, as their friends call them. That day, they struck us as a wonderful couple, and we were thrilled at the idea of joining them for the happiest day of their lives.
It's almost always the bride who takes charge of the service details, and this was no exception. She, together with her wedding planner, chose every detail of the Esfering service. Almudena, with impeccable taste, wanted the service fully personalized. The theme she proposed matched the wedding's overall design: olive branches. With these motifs and the couple's personal touch, our designer customized the Ring model machine, the Kraft guest book, the photo watermarks, and the envelopes guests used to protect their prints. Guests also went home with adhesive magnets as a keepsake, for sticking up their photos.
To make the guests' photo dedications in the album even more beautiful and fun, we added several extras from our latest collection: cork sticker packs and ethnic-print washi tape. For the props, the couple chose Esfering's Love and top-tier packs. We also customized several pieces around basketball, law and aviation themes, to their taste.
Without a doubt, Llull and Almudena's watermark is one of the most beautiful we've ever made at Esfering. The photocall they designed for the occasion, with its colours and hearts made of flowers and natural leaves, matched it perfectly.
From what we could tell, both the couple and their guests were delighted with Esfering. Knowing that everything went perfectly on such an important day for you is our greatest satisfaction. Thank you so much for trusting us, you two!
